Haircut

Hey!

We finished the last part of the U.S. History test today. I already know that I just did one mistake on the other part of the test so I should get a pretty good grade. Then during third period we had a Spanish test which was actually a lot easier than I expected After we were done with the test we were allowed to listen to some music and even to take a nap
That’s basically all special that happened in school.

After I came home I walked to the place (just a few minutes by foot) where I got a haircut. Looks good I think
When I came home from that I played more than half an hour hockey in the backyard but again without any snow. Then I had to finish my chemistry homework and also some other stuff.

Ski Club

Hey!

Right after school we went to Holidy Vally again. We didn’t have any real snow today and it was like 40 – 50°F outside. The fake snow was just like ice at some places but overall it was okay.
Even during the ride there (which was so much fun ), the clouds didn’t look that good. After we were skiing for a while already, it started to rain and I couldn’t see anything when we were skiing down the hills. Fortunately it stopped raining after about 20 minutes and it became pretty nice again. Overall it was a very good day

We had a test in U.S. History today which we will continue tomorrow. That’s about all that happened in school besides from going into the darkroom to develop some pictures during photography.

Hey!

Today I skyped with my family in Germany which was very nice.
Right after that I went to the mall with two friends of mine. We had a great time like always at the mall
The whole mall was packed with  people and their tables who wanted to sell people all different kind of things for weddings – from photographers to limousines, everything found a place in the mall. We wondered about how they even got those cars into the mall Take a look:

 

The weather was pretty nice today, sunshine and not that bad kind of temperaturs. Here’s a picture from my street with just a little bit of snow:

In the evening I finished my homework including chemistry, English and some studying for U.S. History. I also watched the NFC Championship game between the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants won 20:17 after a field goal in overtime. Now they Giants will face the New England Patriots in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl XLVI on February 6th.

Hey!

I wanted to go to the mall today and arrange with a friend of mine that we would go at 5 o’clock. But then we didn’t have a ride and unfortunately couldn’t go. In the evening another friend of mine asked me if I would stay over at his house but I couldn’t go anywhere without a ride.
My chemistry homework took me about 2,5 hours in the afternoon today and I’m still not done
After that I played some hockey in the backyard. The evening was filled with the Australian Open and a Buffalo Bandits game on TV.
Overall unfortunately just a lazy day..

School was pretty good today. We had a lot of fun during lunch again and also the other periods were pretty good today.
Actually not that much special happened during school today.
After school I started a little of my homework but still have quite a lot to do.
In the early evening I went outside to play some hockey in the backyard, however, I didn’t stay outside that long because it was so freezin’ cold.
In the evening I just watched some matches from the Australian Open. So it was a little more relaxed day after my day yesterday consisted of 10 hours in school and even homework until later then 9pm.
My last two weeks in the states started today..

Little blizzard

Hey!

The winter is finally showing some of its  impacts.
I stayed after school for a workout with some friends of mine. Around 4:30, I wanted to start walking home. I went almost out of the door but then I saw the little snowstorm which was going on outside. I thought it would be better to wait a couple minutes until the snowstorm was gone. So I went back into the school and went into my chemistry teacher’s room where the chess players practiced. I actually played a little with them but they are way to good for me
Around 5 o’clock I got a ride home from one of my friends who’s on the chess team and was still there. So I came home a little after 5:30pm and found the whole driveway “paved” with a couple inches of snow. So I decided to make a good deed and shoveled the snow from the whole driveway. That took me about half an hour and my back was killing me after it but it was worth it.

It was a very good in school today. One of my friends is in the video class and he and his group partner interviewed me and some friends in front of a greenscreen during a study hall. During my English class one of the guidance counselors came into the class and gave the native students some test results. That gave us foreign exchange students a study hall
In the evening I did my homework – quite a lot again – and watched some of the Australian Open, of course

Sabres.. :D

Hey!

Sabres, Sabres, Sabres..
That’s obviously not how it’s supposed to be. The Buffalo Sabres lost again today which made it their 10th consecutive road loss. Today they played the Chicago Blackhawks in Chicago. After a 1:0 lead at the beginning of the first period, everything went down. They actually scored another goal (both scored by Pominville) but after some stupid mistakes the final score was 6:2 for the Blackhawks. It’s getting pretty depressing – also because we were actually able to watch the game today because it was shown on a national channel and not MSG which is still blocked by Time Warner Cable.

We had an English test today about the last two stories we read. I think I did pretty good.
In the chemistry quiz from yesterday I got a 60 However, my grade is still a very nice 97.
After school, just the usual was going on like some hockey in the backyard and a lot of homework.

This weather is just crazy. Yesterday we actually had about 50°F degrees after school and today it went down again to 25°F and we also got a little bit of snow. But our backyard has an inch of ice at some places.

Australian Open

Hey!

The Australian Open started on January 16 and the finals will be played on January 29. It is the 100th edition of the Australian Open and the first Gran Slam of the year. It takes place in Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Australia.
It’s one of the four Grand Slams and is played on hardcourt.

I had a chemistry quiz today which was actually pretty difficult. But it’ll be fine. I also got my project paper back; it’s a 100
I watched the Australian Open after I came from school a little bit but had to do so much homework so didn’t have that much time. After I finished my homework I played some hockey in the backyard. In the evening I had to study for an English test tomorrow and after that I watched the match Rafael Nadal vs. Tommy Haas It was a pretty good game and Nadal won in three straight sets: 6:4, 6:3, 6:4.

Ski Club

Hey!

I had no school today!
Today was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. It is a federal holiday in the United States marking the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is held every year on the third Monday in January, which is around the birthday of King: January 15.
Because of the federal holiday all schools were closed and even workers had off.

I almost finished my chemistry homework in the morning and around noon. I couldn’t get done all of it but I’m pretty close. After that I went to Timon to catch the bus which left at 2:45pm for Holiday Valley.
It was a lot better this week; we had real snow even though it was like 40°F outside today. Real snow is just better than fake snow made by snow machines. Like I said, it was really good today even though one of my friends crashed right into me at our first or second run down the hill My shoulder hurt a little but now it’s fine again.
It was a great time!:)
After I came home, around 9pm, I had some really good turkey dinner and just  relaxed.

Hey!

After I got up, I started my homework and finished an essay for my English class and some Spanish stuff. Then I went outside to shoot some hockey to get some fresh air. Right after that I skyped with my family back in Germany. That was pretty good
After that we went to the McKinley mall. I didn’t buy anything just got an awesome pretzel from Auntie Anne’s – best pretzels ever. We just walked the mall and spent some time there.
After that we watched some football and in the evening I started my chemistry homework. It’s so much that I just copied all the questions and then I’ll do the rest tomorrow sometime.
